Construction Safety Week is a great reminder of the responsibility we carry every day on our jobsites. Every person who walks onto one of our jobsites deserves to go home the same way they arrived.
This week, our teams hosted safety standdowns at two of our Prologis projects - in Cerritos and Downey - where we took the time to connect and reinforce the practices that keep everyone safe. This year's Prologis safety theme, Recognize, Respond, and Respect, set the tone for a meaningful conversation across the entire crew.
At our Cerritos site, we were joined by Prologis, and our subcontractors Halin & Herrera, R&B Steel, and Mammoth for a toolbox talk focused on fall protection, one of the most critical topics in our industry. The workers enjoyed breakfast burritos as a small thank you for showing up every day with safety on the top of their mind.
At our Downey standdown, Jesse, Millie’s Senior Superintendent, led a fall protection training alongside the Prologis team, Guy Yocom Construction, Delta, Adams Iron, Shambaugh, Sanders & Wohrman, Riverside Steel, Gregg Electric, Clark Roofing, B&G Sheet Metal, American Integrated Services, and American Contractors. The team wrapped up the event with lunch from the Storm Burger food truck.
We're proud of our teams for their continued commitment to building a strong safety culture. We're proud of every person who showed up, engaged, and signed their name to that safety pledge. That's what building a higher standard looks like.
