Despite the rain, Millie and Severson was able to stay on schedule and successfully complete the panel lift on schedule - thanks to our strong partnership with E&P Properties and Kelley Commercial, LLC.

Currently, we're making great strides on the sitework and panelized roof, keeping the momentum strong as we continue toward completing this 163,400 sq. ft. industrial warehouse in Gilroy, CA.

Our Annual Office Tree Trimming event was a tree-mendous success! The Millie and Severson SoCal office is officially in full holiday mode, thanks to our amazing team coming together to spread cheer.

Between hanging ornaments, sipping on festive drinks, and enjoying delicious snacks, we shared some great memories while transforming our workspace into a cozy, holiday haven.

We began tilting panels last week at the 6501 Flotilla St project in the City of Commerce for our valued client, Real Estate Development Associates, LLC. We are excited to see progress, with our lift now100% complete on this 157,715 sf industrial warehouse.

This holiday season, Millie and Severson's NorCal office came together for a heartwarming charity event with employees and their families. Partnering with UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, we had the privilege of assembling care kits for patients and families facing difficult times in the hospital.

These care kits provide small moments of comfort and distraction—offering everything from sensory and creativity kits to toiletries and laundry essentials. Each kit is designed to bring a bit of home to those who need it most.

Our team worked side by side to assemble 80 kits, including Infant Comfort, Sensory, Laundry, Toiletries, Welcome, Activity, Caregiver, Concussion, and Creativity kits. In true holiday spirit, we shared the experience with chili, a potluck, and fun activities for the kids, making this event not only impactful but also a memorable day of bonding and giving.

It’s inspiring to see how giving back can bring us all closer together, especially during the season of kindness.

A few Millie and Severson employees had the opportunity to attend the NAIOP Inland Empire Chapter Bus Tour, spending the afternoon exploring some of the region’s key industrial properties. We were excited to see some of our very own properties featured on the tour, showcasing the great work we're involved in across the Inland Empire!

It was an excellent opportunity to learn and connect with other leaders in the Commercial Real Estate market, sharing insights and discussing the future of industrial development in the region.

After the tour, the group gathered for a networking reception, where our very own Janelle and Albert took home two of the raffle prizes! Congratulations to them both for their wins — what a way to cap off a great day!

We’ve officially begun tilting panels on two buildings for 9th St. Partners, LLC in a tight infill site near the Van Nuys Airport. One of the buildings is getting ready for its first lift, while our team has successfully completed the rebar work and is gearing up for the second panel pour at the adjacent building.

A huge shoutout to our incredible team for their hard work and seamless coordination as we navigate the crane between these two structures. Together, we’re making significant strides in bringing these impressive buildings to life!

After 19 incredible years at Millie and Severson, David Downs is hanging up his hard hat and closing out his career with the successful completion of the Vanguard University's Freed Center for Leadership and Service Project.

Reflecting on his journey, David shared, “I’ve had a very rewarding career building facilities that will long-term benefit mankind. It’s fulfilling to know that my work contributes to advancements that could lead to cures for diseases and blindness. The Vanguard Project brought an unexpected joy—meeting so many students and witnessing firsthand how this initiative has impacted their lives. I feel honored to be a part of their personal growth and confidence, shaping generations to come.”

For the younger Superintendents, David advises: “Hopefully, you love what you do as much as I have. Learn from everyone and everything around you. Always be ready to figure out how things work and fit together and remember to plan ahead!”

As for retirement, David has big plans! He’s looking forward to traveling, exploring new adventures, and diving back into hobbies he loves—playing guitar, cooking, biking, motorcycle riding, catching up on movies and books, day trading, and photography. “I’m already realizing there aren’t enough hours in the day!”

David, thank you for your dedication and the lasting impact you've made. Enjoy this exciting new chapter!

Millie and Severson has successfully erected all steel columns and completed the Panelized Roof System for the 147,420 sf Staley Point Corona project, allowing us to roof-in the building.

Currently, we are focused on the interior build-out for the Tenant Improvement (TI) portion while continuing to advance on- and off-site work. A huge thank you to our dedicated team and partners who are bringing us closer to delivering a top-notch facility for our esteemed client, Staley Point Capital.

Our NorCal interns recently had the privilege to observe a panel lift at our latest project, 49000 Milmont in Fremont, CA—a 265,598-square-foot development by Hines. This site visit provided invaluable hands-on experience, particularly for Jose Perez Cruz, the dedicated intern assigned to this project, who also led fellow interns Lexie Lee, Rid Khan, and Itzel Gonzalez Zepeda on a guided tour.

Our team is making great strides on the Project Tire Build-to-Suit in Victorville, CA with our valued partner, Prologis!

Two weeks ago we successfully began the first sequence of panel lifts, with another two weeks of lifting ahead. By the end of this week, all slab on grade and tilt-panels will be poured out, marking a significant milestone in this 1,295,742 sq ft endeavor.

We’re also excited to share that column erection and roof structure work have begun, setting the stage for the next phase of this impressive build.

We swung into summer fun at our NorCal office par-tee at TopGolf!

We had a blast enjoying a taco bar, refreshing drinks, and some friendly competition with games and prizes. Huge shoutout to our incredible employees and interns for making the event unforgettable. Their energy and enthusiasm are what make our team so special.

Exciting developments at our Stadium Pacific Center project, in Anaheim, CA, for Pacific Industrial! The roof structures are now going up on both buildings—one spanning 237,246 sf and the other 100,784 sf. We're proud of the team's dedication and can't wait to see these buildings take shape.

Our team and interns had a blast at our beach bonfire in Huntington Beach! We played some intense volleyball, cornhole, and football games, and fueled up with pizza before gathering around the bonfire for s'mores. It was the perfect evening to kick back in the sand and enjoy some great conversations with an awesome crew. Here's to more moments like these that bring us closer together!

We’ve completed the panel lifting phase at the 162,656 sf Harbor Logistics Center in Santa Ana, CA, for our valued client, Kearny Real Estate – representing another successful collaboration in our ongoing partnership with them.

Our dedicated team expertly installed the columns and beams, setting the stage for the roof structure installation.

We are excited to announce the completion of another successful project for our valued client, Rexford Industrial. This endeavor features two state-of-the-art industrial buildings, totaling 100,483 square feet, located in Orange, CA.

The project proudly showcases modern tenant improvements, including Ober wall panels from France, and has achieved LEED Silver certification, reflecting our unwavering commitment to sustainability and excellence.

We are thrilled to announce the completion of a new warehouse in Stockton, CA, spanning an impressive 1,015,791 square feet on a 58-acre lot!

Our NorCal office hosted a fantastic 'sip and paint' 🖌️ event, inspired by our amazing summer interns! The idea was to bring everyone together to celebrate their heritage through food and art. Each team member brought a dish that represented their cultural background, creating a delicious and diverse feast.

We also embraced our artistic sides by painting letters that spell out Millie and Severson. These unique pieces of art were hung in our office as a testament to our collective creativity and unity.

We welcomed Agnes Bitoka and Kassy Padilla from UCLA to our 2024 SoCal summer intern team!

Agnes came eager to dive into the world of construction, hoping to gain a comprehensive understanding of the field and further her interest in construction management. Kassy shares a similar enthusiasm, focusing on mastering everything there is to know about construction and estimating.

Since joining us, Agnes and Kassy have already embarked on several jobsite visits and even enjoyed a fun and interactive cooking class with the other interns.

We are thrilled to announce the completion of a 165,327 square foot warehouse in Fontana, CA, developed in partnership with Dedeaux Properties. This state-of-the-art facility features a 36’ clear height, 21 dock-high doors, tenant improvements, and 50 trailer parking stalls.

The collaboration of our team, Alan, Les, Sean and Ed, with Dedeaux Properties has been an exciting journey and we look forward to many more successful ventures together.  

Millie and Severson successfully collected a large number of books during our recent book drive, all of which have been donated to the Kiwanis Club of Cypress, CA. For the past eight years, the club has been dedicated to their summer book distribution program, providing under-served children with quality reading materials to help prevent a decline in reading achievement scores between school years. In addition to our initial collection, Millie and Severson doubled the amount of books to support this wonderful cause! The Kiwanis Club was thrilled to see our donations at their general meeting.

We are excited to announce the completion of a state-of-the-art 185,089 sq ft industrial warehouse for our esteemed client, Bridge Industrial. Located in Vernon, CA, this facility boasts a 36' clear height, 23 dock-high doors, a 144' truck court, an ESFR sprinkler system, and 4,000 amps of power. We are thankful for our ongoing partnership and look forward to many more successful projects together.

Our NorCal team, along with their partners and families, took a break from the daily grind and went on an adventure! They traded their desks for tents, and the only meetings they had were around the campfire. It was s'more fun than they could have ever imagined!

Congratulations to Prologis on the Clawiter-Hayward 40 project achieving LEED Gold certification! This 157,582 sq ft industrial warehouse stands out by using 57% less energy compared to similar facilities. It also saves 142,946 gallons annually on indoor water consumption with efficient plumbing fixtures, and 1 million gallons annually on outdoor water through smart landscape design, all measured against LEED baseline standards. Kudos to the project team: Millie and Severson, General Contractors, HPA, Inc., and Kier + Wright.

We’re excited to announce the completion of the 266,711 sq ft West State Commerce Center in Ontario, CA. This state-of-the-art industrial warehouse, featuring extensive tenant improvements, was developed in partnership with Inland Harbor, LLC. This 113,470 sq ft industrial building, developed for CenterPoint Properties, features a warehouse with 23 docks, tenant improvements, and EV parking. Paulus Engineering invited a few of us to a LA Kings game where we watched them triumph over the Anaheim Ducks. It was an exciting experience, made better by fantastic company, tasty food, and delicious drinks. We got the chance to enjoy a moment outside of the daily hustle and bustle by spending time with a wonderful group of people, and look forward to future opportunities to connect both professionally and personally!

We recently completed a 105,014 sf warehouse in Anaheim for one of our valued clients, Rexford Industrial. The tenant improvements include a 7,665 sf office component incorporating high-quality materials and design elements. The office space showcases a gorgeous TerraMai staircase and platform, along with concrete Ober wall panels from France.
