Big milestone this week at The Campus at Bayside – Phase One in Fremont, CA. Millie and Severson is completing the second and final lift of Building 3, the last building to be lifted on this project.
The project totals 253,472 sf across three buildings, including 16,000 sf of speculative tenant improvement and mezzanine space.

Another successful project completed with our valued client Bridge Industrial!
Bridge Point Irvine is a 215,221 sf industrial warehouse with 5,283 sf of office TI, strategically located near I-5, I-405, and CA-133. The facility includes 23 dock-high doors, 32 trailer stalls, and 199 auto stalls, supporting efficient logistics and operations.
The project was delivered in collaboration with RGA, Office of Architectural Design, continuing a strong working relationship across multiple developments.
We’re excited to kick off a new 1,046,539 sf industrial warehouse project in Menifee, CA for our valued partner Core5 Industrial Partners, LLC. This marks another project in our continued relationship this client, and our commitment to delivering high-quality industrial space in Southern California.
Our team is currently underway with over-excavation of the building pad. Once this phase is complete, we’ll secure pad certification, pull the building permit, and move straight into underground work for the slab and footings, all moving us closer to our first slab pour.

We’re excited to announce the successful completion of the 429,420 sf Dominguez Commerce Center in Carson, CA! This project was a true collaborative effort with our valued client Brookfield Properties and in partnership with HPA, Inc.
Located on a key infill site with convenient access to major freeways, this project was a full-site demolition followed by the construction of a cross-dock industrial warehouse. In addition to the warehouse, the facility features a 13,000 sf office tenant improvement (TI), designed to support the growing logistics and warehousing needs in the region.

This state-of-the-art warehouse marks a significant milestone in the rapidly growing industrial hub of Victorville, a region now seeing major investments due to its strategic location and expanding infrastructure.
The project was developed in close collaboration with Prologis and RGA, Office of Architectural Design, combining expertise to deliver a high-quality, tailored solution designed to meet the operational needs of our client.
We’re excited to kick off the Commerce Gateway DC 1 project in Commerce, CA, for our valued client, Prologis. We are currently grading for the speculative warehouse that will span 283,621 square feet. Next up, we'll be moving forward with underground slab utilities, slab footings, and site work in the coming month.

Our team and their families took over Huntington Beach 🏖️ for an afternoon of sun, sand, and good times. From volleyball rallies to football and soccer games, we brought the competitive spirit!
We fired up the BBQ, gathered around the bonfire, and wrapped it all up with some smores. 🔥🍫

Our annual NorCal camping trip brought together employees and families for a week of fresh air, great food, and even better company.
Some camped, others just dropped in for the Saturday picnic, but everyone came ready for a good time. We enjoyed a delicious BBQ, complemented by tons of great sides, and finished off with custom Millie and Severson cookies.
The afternoon included a mix of low-key competition and a few crowd favorites; trivia games, Oreo-eating challenge, a water game that kept things cool, and finally a cornhole tournament to round it all out.

For over 24 years, Millie and Severson has had the privilege of serving as a trusted construction partner to PIH Health Hospital in Whittier, CA; delivering more than 42 projects across their growing medical campus.
Spanning 666,645 square feet and 446 beds, our work included OSHPD 1 facilities like the Perry Pavilion, Shannon Tower, and Plaza Tower. Each project required thoughtful phasing, precise coordination, and a deep understanding of how to safely build in a fully operational healthcare environment.
This long-term partnership was built on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to patient care. Together with PIH Health, RBB Architects, our subcontractors, and consultants, we navigated the complexities of working in an occupied campus - always prioritizing minimal disruption to staff, patients, and visitors.
Our SoCal summer interns recently visited our Bridge Industrial Bridge Point Irvine jobsite for a hands-on learning experience as part of their internship program. The visit kicked off with a safety presentation led by our Safety Director, followed by a walk through of the 215,221 square-foot building with our General Superintendent.
One of our interns, Johnny, who is currently assigned to the project, walked the group through the tenant improvement work underway and shared insights about the project’s scope and progress.
Experiences like these are a key part of our intern program to help the next generation of builders gain confidence and understanding in the field.

Our amazing team and their families had a blast celebrating Easter at the NorCal office!
The day was filled with family-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy. We had egg painting – wooden eggs instead of real ones (with the price of eggs these days, we got creative!), an egg hunt, coloring stations, and a competitive game of corn hole for the adults.
We wrapped up the day with pizza and refreshments. It was a fantastic way to bring the team together and celebrate the season of renewal and growth.
Millie and Severson General Contractors recently completed the Harbor Logistics Center in collaboration with Kearny Real Estate and SKH Architect, Inc. This 162,256 sf industrial facility in Santa Ana is strategically located with easy access to major transport hubs and features sustainable elements, including rooftop solar panels and EV charging stations.
The project is a prime example of a successful office-to-warehouse redevelopment, transforming a former office space after the pandemic reduced demand for offices. It is the first conversion of its kind in Orange County, addressing the growing need for industrial space in tight markets.
We are excited to announce the launch of the Amazon TCY2 Inbound Cross-dock (IXD) Facility, located in the First Stockton Logistics Center. This state-of-the-art 1,015,791 square-foot hub is designed to support Amazon’s fulfillment network.
The new facility will create over 1,000 full-time jobs for the local community.

After an incredible 25 years with Millie and Severson, General Contractors officially retired on March 31, 2025. Over the course of his career, John made invaluable contributions to a wide range of projects, including healthcare, cultural, educational, housing, hospitality, industrial, and office spaces. His meaningful input and dedication have had a lasting impact on each of these projects.
In retirement, John looks forward to traveling, volunteering for causes that are close to his heart, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his granddaughter.

Founded in 1945 by Noble Millie and Charles Severson, our journey began just after World War II. Both USC engineering graduates, they played a key role in building Liberty Ships in Los Angeles before transitioning into the rapidly growing tilt-up concrete industrial sector.
In 1975, Charles Severson’s son Jonathan joined the firm, carrying on the legacy after Mr. Millie’s passing. Over the years since, we’ve expanded our expertise to include commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, housing and hospitality, and cultural and educational institutions.
In 2022, Jonathan stepped down as president, passing the torch to his son, Ben Severson, who now leads the company into its next chapter.
We have completed over 4,000 projects - each one reflecting the dedication of our team, the trust of our clients, and the vision of our founders.

It was inspiring to see these talented student teams compete and showcase their hard work in the Project Management category (CSULB and CSUEB) and the Commercial category (UC Davis). Our SoCal and NorCal offices were proud to support them throughout their preparation journey, offering guidance and mentorship as they refined their presentations.

As part of our ongoing professional development, we welcomed Julie Chesley, PhD, the lead of the Chesley Group and an associate of SyncUp Leadership Group, to guide us through a powerful team-building workshop.
The activity challenged teams to construct a tower that could hold a marshmallow for 10 seconds. Judging was based on creativity, budget (materials used), height, and whether the tower stayed standing. It was a great way to engage in collaboration, planning, and creative problem-solving under pressure. Key takeaway: Successful teamwork is essential in any workplace!
We completed the Cochrane Technology Center in Morgan Hill, CA, for our valued client, Trammell Crow Company! This 500,000 square foot development spans over five buildings, delivering top-tier industrial spaces.
