More than 65 commercial real estate professionals came together on April 30th for an insider’s look at the challenges and opportunities behind the Bay Area’s largest industrial project – Pacific Commons South in Fremont. Timur Tecimer, President of OMP, the developer behind the 1.7+ million square foot/10-building project, and Kevin Pirozzoli from Invesco, provided great insight into what went into making the deal work. They were joined by CBRE’s Rob Shannon who discussed the dynamics of the Bay Area industrial market that made development of the project possible. Attendees also heard about the project’s design considerations from HPA Studio Director Teresa Goodwin, while Brian Andrew, Division Vice President of Millie and Severson General Contractors, offered more insights on construction techniques used to bring the project to life. The event was jointly sponsored by the NAIOP San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley Chapters. To learn more about the project, visit http://properties.cbre.us/pacific-commons-south/

Millie and Severson celebrated Earth Day a little early this year with a picnic on the patio! Our annual raffle raised money for local wildlife preservation efforts. Each of the raffle prizes was selected to help encourage an eco-friendly lifestyle, including reusable straws + utensils, a solar-powered charger, National Forest Adventure pass and more. Employees were treated to a tasty lunch of locally grown food and participated in a repurposing competition. In the spirit of this year’s Earth Day theme, “Protect Our Species,” we would like to thank our awesome employees for raising funds to benefit the El Dorado Nature Center, Bolsa Chica Wetlands and Seal Beach Wildlife Refuge. Millie and Severson’s commitment to sustainability continues in the field as we help our clients build healthy, efficient buildings.

Great time lapse and drone video of our Medical Office Building project at Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley. Thanks to Trammell Crow Company for producing this video which shows the incredible progress made so far.The 200,000 sf/3 story project was designed by Ware Malcomb. TCC is the developer of this project and Riverside University Health System will occupy 100% of the building. The adjacent RUHS County hospital receives our 220 ft. long enclosed bridge and a connection to the new Medical Pavilion building which serves as a patient hub and contains a Panera Bread Café! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6MAXEPwkho&feature=youtu.be
