The owners envisioned creating a learning environment that is dynamic and lively, and that fosters a thirst for knowledge in their students, one that would continue throughout their academic careers and indeed throughout their lives. With this ambitious vision in mind, the design team developed a program that includes spaces, finishes and furniture that are vibrant, movable and that encourage invention and collaboration.

Additionally, the quality of materials was of a higher grade than is typical in most classrooms which instills a higher standard of learning in students. The design also included numerous opportunities for breakout spaces, both indoors and out, to encourage collaboration among students and faculty. Several classrooms also include movable glass walls that open fully to reveal access to the outside, allowing instruction to seamlessly reference the environment and nature when the curriculum calls for it.
